Publikácia je tematicky zameraná na jazyk súčasných slovenských seniorov. Úvod monografie obsahuje rôzne pohľady na to, kto je v súčasnej spoločnosti vnímaný ako senior. Prvá polovica publikácie obsahuje charakteristiku obrazu starších dospelých na základe analýzy súčasného slovenského diskurzu konkrétne analýzy materiálov z oblasti frazeológie, reklamy, databázy Slovenského národného korpusu a politických prejavov. Vychádza sa pritom z tézy, že štandardizovaný diskurz o senioroch a ich jazykovom správaní ovplyvňuje ich reálne jazykové správanie. Druhá polovica publikácie obsahuje sociolingvistický výskum zameraný na zistenie postojov seniorov k anglicizmom v slovenčine, ktorý prebiehal formou rozhovorov.
